St. Bartholomew volunteers packing backpacks for School’s Cool
That’s a wrap! School’s Cool was a thrilling success this year.
Thank you to our over 122 donors who gave nearly $33,000 to cover supplies, backpacks, uniforms and more for 144 youth in Banyan programs.
Special shout out to St. Batholomew Catholic Church for again partnering with Banyan Community to help make this a reality. St Bart’s not only helped to purchase supplies, but also provided volunteers to sort and pack all the backpacks.
On Thursday, August 17th, families gathered at Banyan for the School’s Cool event. Families moved throughout the building, stopping at stations to complete school paperwork (Banyan staff was available for translation assistance), pick up uniforms, meet their educator, select a backpack, pose for a program photo, and more. It was an evening of joy and anticipation for youth, parents, and Banyan staff!
