MINNEAPOLIS, MN – On Friday, September 5, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a shooting occurred in the Banyan Community parking lot involving multiple vehicles and individuals. Neighbors immediately contacted 911, and police responded promptly. Staff members who were on-site, as well as those who arrived shortly afterward, assisted law enforcement during the investigation. Due to limited security footage, additional details about the incident remain unavailable.

The Banyan Community Leadership Team has met to determine next steps and will provide updates as they become available. We recognize that this incident may be difficult to process, particularly given that it occurred on our property.
