Middle School Camp

The chanted mantra for camp this year became “Never Give Up!” Fifteen middle school youth participated in some challenging adventure activities at Osprey Wilds Learning Center. Youth learned to be great encouragers of one another.

Elementary Camp

Bravery is a muscle to be exercised. Fifteen elementary youth spent 5 nights flexing that muscle at Camp Fire. The high ropes course specifically challenged youth to climb to new heights.

National Night Out

Through Banyan’s Lighthouse Network we have the privilege to support many Phillips neighborhood blocks. Fourteen blocks took advantage of Banyan’s partnership. Our staff assists block leaders with the city’s Street Closer Application and Banyan provided leaders with material support. Leaders picked up kits with hot dogs along with all the fixings, paper products, drinks, no parking signs and more.

Summer Gathering

This year’s Banyan family picnic at the Wabun pavilion saw a doubling of attendance. It was great to share Jarritos, Shaah tea, and a Coke together. Families enjoyed a potluck complete with elote corn and a piñata!

ASPIRE Summer

Our high school youth were also busy with classes at Banyan to make sure they were ready to tackle the next school year. Read more about the academic work.
