The Charities Review Council functions as an independent reviewer to improve the relationship between donors and nonprofits. They strive to build a culture of philanthropy where donors and nonprofits are engaged partners with the mutual goal of creating stronger and more vibrant communities. The Charities Review Council has a rigorous review process to assess an organization’s financial transparency, policies, diversity, board role and more. Their benchmarks are outlined in this Accountability Standards® document.
