Celebrate the opening of Banyan Community’s new home!
Join us as we give thanks as the culmination of many dreams come true! Our new permanent home is complete and ready for an official opening!
Banyan purchased this parcel of land from the Minneapolis Park Board in early 2013 and ran a capital campaign (Growing Responsibly) to raise the funds to build – debt free. Banyan has raised more than $6.4 million dollars from generous donors, including community members, and New Market Tax Credit revenue.
We are poised to meet the additional need in the neighborhood and double in size by 2020. The new space allows for the expansion of youth and family programs including adult education and a preschool.
