Banyan Community is grateful for PwC and their 15-person volunteer team for helping us take on the community garden project. On Friday, September 8th, auditors and tax specialists, cyber security workers and managers took a step away from their computer screens and donned some work gloves. These volunteers rolled up their sleeves to add privacy slats around the garden fence. They shoveled loads of mulch to prepare a walking path and then shoveled in tons of pea gravel to create the path. Extra mulch was relocated to edge Banyan’s property along the alleyway. Volunteers also began construction of the storage shed. The work that was accomplished in one day by so many willing hands was such a gift to the community. Special thank you to BJ Coleman, Banyan board member and PwC Senior Manager, for connecting us to such a great group of workers. We are already looking forward to the spring and the possibility of another gardening day together!
