Back to School
The school year had a great kick off with the School’s Cool backpack and school uniform distribution event. We are so grateful for the 122+ donors that helped to make this our most successful School’s Cool fundraiser yet!
The after-school programs have started with great success and enthusiasm. These programs offer youth an opportunity to engage in fun and educational activities beyond their regular school hours. Banyan provides a safe and supervised environment for youth to learn, explore, and grow. By participating in these programs, youth can develop new skills, make new friends and become more confident.
The 8th grade youth and parents have begun having conversations about high school plans. Banyan offered an informational evening for parents to help in this process.
This past week Banyan also offered three extended service days for youth out of school for MEA break. Middle school stretched their creative muscles with the Norhtern Clay Center facilitating a clay art project. Elementary youth stretched their legs at Edinborough Park and their minds at the MN History Center. Thank you for your support in helping Banyan fill these school release days with extra programming.
